Everything Will Be Ok, One Way or Another
How I Learned to Rewrite My Story Through Mindset and Action
The Journey Begins
Once upon a time, all I could see was the despair, the uncertainty, the next challenge ahead of me.
But as I pushed through each one, I realized how strong and capable I really was, to the point that my best friend of 38 years claims I can “manifest anything I want”.
Sometimes I’m not quite sure why she feels this way. Granted, she has seen every major up and down in my life since the age of 12, and perhaps I should give more heed to how others view me and my story than how I alone view it.
Maybe it’s the numerous disastrous relationships I’ve been in, or the many times I’ve switched jobs or careers (either by force or by choice). Regardless, there have been quite a few challenges in my life that now are just previous chapters. I’ve managed to “manifest” entirely new life paths for myself and for my family.
It wasn’t always that way, and sometimes it still isn’t. I still have rough days, but how I look at them makes all the difference in how I overcome them, and how I plan my future.
Some days I struggle at work. Some days it’s family concerns. Sometimes it’s medical worries. We all have those moments, right?
No matter what’s going on in our life, I always maintain one mantra, one guiding statement:
Everything will be ok, one way or another.
It’s the mindset that carried me through some dark days, and gives us strength and hope for even better days ahead.
What “Manifestation” Meant For Me
My “manifestation” was a mix of being intentional in my mindset and practical action-taking. And maybe a little bit of mysticism, too.
In mindset, I changed my views from being an indirect victim of the crimes of my ex-husband to being a victor determined to rebuild a better life than I previously had with him. Or from being the employee eternally suffering under toxic management to the former employee who found a new job and a better culture fit.
In practical action-taking, I refused to let life simply happen to me. Instead, I made the conscious choice every day to control whatever was truly mine to change. Job, relationship, finances, habits, etc.
It’s amazing how much power we truly have when we decide to do something about our situations and no longer spend countless days posting “woe is me” content on social media.

From Victim to Victor
We can either choose to remain a victim and perpetually stay in our current chapter, or we can take control and become the hero of our own battles.
There will always be life challenges and adversity on the horizon. Toxic relationships (at home or at work), financial burdens, ever-changing family dynamics, health concerns… we can’t avoid all of them. But we certainly can approach them with a firm belief that it’s only one chapter of our life.
One day, you’ll wake up and realize that you’re in a whole new chapter. The things you went through will only be a memory. An old scar. A lesson.
The only thing you need is the desire to pick up the proverbial pen and decide to start writing the next part of your life, doing everything you can to change your future.
And remember:
Everything will be ok, one way or another.
